Sponsorship terms and privacy
These terms cover paid placements in the Atlas AI tools directory, bought through the advertise page. They're written to be read, not skimmed past. If anything is unclear, email us.
What you can buy
- A Featured spot: your tool in the Featured block at the top of the directory, for $20 per month. There are at most 3 Featured spots.
Prices are in USD. Payments are processed by Gumroad as a monthly subscription, under Gumroad's own terms.
Review before payment
Every request goes through an automated screen and then our review, before you can pay. We open your official site and pricing page and check that the tool is real, live, an AI tool, and that your one-sentence description is accurate. We may correct the description before approving it. You can only pay after your tool passes. If it doesn't pass, we tell you why on your status page and you aren't charged.
When your tool passes, we hold the spot for 72 hours. If you don't subscribe in that time, the spot is released and you can apply again. Paying doesn't skip, shorten or change the review.
Your status link
After the automated screen, you get a private status link. No payment links by email. Once your tool passes our review, a Pay now button appears on your private status page, and it opens Gumroad's checkout. The status link is how you check your request and pay. Keep it safe and don't share it: anyone with the link can see your request's status and its payment button.
Labels and links
Every paid placement shows a visible "Sponsored" label, wherever it appears, and its link to your official site uses rel="sponsored". Sponsored links point to your official site only. Paying never buys a claim we can't confirm, a "best" label, or a higher position in the regular listing.
Monthly billing, start and end
Your Featured spot goes live as soon as your first payment is confirmed. Gumroad then charges you once a month on the same date, and each payment keeps the spot up for another month. Gumroad emails you a reminder before each renewal.
Cancelling and failed payments
You can cancel any time in Gumroad, from your receipt or your Gumroad library. When you cancel, there are no further charges and the spot stays up until the end of the month you've paid for, then comes down. If a monthly payment fails, the spot comes down when the paid period ends, or sooner if Gumroad cancels the subscription because payments failed. It comes down automatically, without any email from us. If you subscribe again later, your request goes through review again unless the spot is still inside a paid period.
What we may correct, pause or remove
We recheck placements while they're live. If something on your entry stops matching your official pages, we may correct it. If your tool stops being live, accurate or an AI tool, we may pause or remove the spot. A paused spot is hidden until the problem is fixed. We also remove any spot that would break the law or these terms.
Refunds
- If we can't publish a spot you've paid for (for example, the spot was taken after your hold ended), we refund you in full, including fees, through Gumroad.
- We recheck every new spot after your first payment. If it fails that review, we take it down, refund that payment in full, including fees, and cancel the subscription in Gumroad so it won't renew (any renewal charged before that is refunded in full).
- Any other refund, for example when we remove a spot later because it no longer passes our recheck, is at our discretion.
- A refund ends your listing right away, and we cancel the subscription in Gumroad so it won't renew. If a renewal is charged by mistake before the cancellation takes effect, we refund it in full, including fees. A payment dispute or chargeback also takes the spot down right away.
- Days when a spot is paused aren't refunded or credited, and the subscription keeps its normal billing date.
- Refunds go back through Gumroad to the original payment method. Gumroad tells you when a refund is issued.
Your details and privacy
- What we collect: your tool's name, official URL, description, category, optional logo link, and your contact email. We also store a one-way hash of your connection's IP address to limit repeated requests, and the results of our checks.
- Where it's kept: privately in a Cloudflare database. It's never published in the site's files.
- What's shown on the site: only the public parts of a live placement, which are your tool's name, link, description and category. Your email is never shown.
- Who we share it with: only Gumroad, which receives your email to fill in checkout, plus your request id so we can match your payment. Gumroad handles payment details; we never see your card.
- How long we keep it: up to 12 months after your request or placement ends, then we delete it, unless we need a payment record longer for tax or legal reasons. When you pay, Gumroad sends us a payment record (sale id, the email used at checkout, amount and Gumroad's other order fields, without card details), which we keep with your request.
- Cookies and tracking: our pages in this flow set no cookies and use no analytics or tracking. Gumroad's checkout follows Gumroad's own privacy policy.
- To see, correct or delete your details, email us with your request id.
